Each cluster has a community counselor who lives within an hour of all host families in the cluster. The counselor is the local representative for Au Pair in America and is there to provide support, guidance and information to au pairs and host families in the cluster.

Your Community Counselor will contact you within 48 hours of your arrival to your host family and will visit you within two weeks. She will contact you at least once a month to check on how things are going. She will also organize cluster meetings and activities, cultural events and outings and provide you with information about the local community including educational opportunities.

Your community counselor is also your contact should you have any problem, concerns or questions at any time while you are on the program.
